Join Our Team as a (Senior) Director Business Development
About this role
As part of our CDS Internal Medicine & Neurology team you will working alongside passionate and innovative professionals to ensure our customers achieve their goals.
The (Senior) Director Business Development is responsible for the business development strategy and client retention in an allocated sales territory or with specified accounts. Responsible for the coordination of all activities delegated to business development staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute sales and account strategies to achieve annual revenue targets within the assigned territory or accounts.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, markets, and clients, including end-to-end management of RFIs, RFPs, and proposal processes.
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with current and prospective clients through regular engagement, meetings, and presentations.
Coordinate cross-functional internal teams to prepare for client meetings, negotiate budgets and contracts, track study progress, and manage scope changes.
Monitor market trends and competitor CRO activities, analyze business development data, and represent the company at industry events and trade shows.
Ensure accurate administrative and commercial reporting, including expense management and timely documentation of all client interactions in Salesforce.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant industry experience, with a minimum of five years’ experience in clinical research and/or sales, including over three years of proven sales and negotiation experience.
Strong knowledge of the CRO/clinical research business, including awareness of industry trends, government policies, and regulatory requirements in TFS Group countries.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively influence stakeholders and clearly articulate service features and benefits to clients.
Demonstrated leadership, analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive customer-focused results.
Strong organizational, planning, multitasking, and time-management abilities, combined with an entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work independently.
High computer proficiency (Microsoft Office) and flexibility to travel extensively within the assigned sales territory and to company meetings as required.
