About this role
As part of our Global Finance team you will be working alongside passionate and innovative professionals to ensure our customers achieve their goals.
The Payroll Associate supports the end-to-end payroll process for different TFS legal entities, ensuring employees across multiple regions are paid accurately and on time while all statutory and internal reporting requirements are met. Working closely with the HR business partners, the Financial controllers and the wider Finance team, this role helps maintain the integrity of payroll data, resolves employee pay queries, and supports audits, reconciliations, and process improvements. This is a hands-on position suited to someone detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with confidential financial and personal data.
Key Responsibilities:
Process end-to-end payroll cycles accurately and on schedule, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, bonuses, and benefits deductions.
Validate payroll input data such as timesheets, absence records, overtime, and expense claims for completeness and accuracy prior to submission.
Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies between payroll and general ledger entries in coordination with the Finance team.
Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner, escalating complex cases as needed.
Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, social security contributions, and other statutory payroll requirements across relevant jurisdictions.
Prepare and submit statutory filings and payroll-related reports to relevant authorities within required deadlines.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records and employee data in the payroll system, in line with data privacy requirements.
Support month-end and year-end payroll closing activities, including accruals and reconciliations.
Assist with internal and external payroll audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor requests.
Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, controls, and efficiency, and support the implementation of process changes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
6-12 months experience in payroll processing, preferably in a multi-country or shared services environment.
Working knowledge of payroll legislation, tax rules, and social security requirements in relevant jurisdictions.
Proficiency with payroll and HR systems, and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy when handling numerical and confidential data.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills in English; additional language skills are a plus.
A collaborative, service-oriented mindset with the ability to work effectively across teams and time zones.
